EDUCATION

Free learning built
to remain open.

OWI is planning age- and grade-aware educational resources that people can use without a paywall and that schools, libraries, institutions, and responsible sponsors can help strengthen.

LEARNING PATHS

Useful education should meet people where they are.

01

Early learning

Playful foundations for literacy, numeracy, curiosity, and safe exploration.

02

K–12 by grade and subject

Clearly organized lessons, practice, projects, and educator guidance aligned to stated learning goals.

03

Adult and lifelong learning

Flexible resources for people returning to a subject, changing careers, or learning for personal growth.

04

Practical knowledge

Digital, civic, financial, scientific, and everyday skills designed for responsible real-world use.

QUALITY & SAFETY

Open does not mean unreviewed.

  • Visible sources, authorship, licenses, dates, and revision history
  • Age-appropriate design, accessibility, privacy, and child-safety review
  • Educator and subject-matter review before material is presented as verified
  • Clear distinction between instruction, opinion, and still-developing material
  • Correction and feedback paths for learners, families, and educators

RESPONSIBLE SPONSORSHIP

Support can expand access—not purchase the lesson.

Schools, institutions, foundations, and businesses may eventually help fund development, accessibility, translation, educator review, and delivery. Sponsorship should never buy curricular control, preferential access, learner data, or an undisclosed endorsement.
